The coastal resort of Lytham St Annes is on the North West Coast of Lancashire, three miles from Blackpool. The area of Fylde consists of Lytham, St Annes-on-Sea and the rural countryside with small picturesque villages. St Annes-on-Sea is a traditional seaside resort with Victorian pier, quality
accommodation and fine floral displays, a gentler and more peaceful location than Blackpool. Lytham is a high quality destination with an attractive Victorian shopping centre and an expansive seafront where the Windmill is situated. Donkey rides, deckchairs, amusement arcades, sandy beaches, refreshment outlets. An award winning ENCAMS beach. Visit the statue of the comedy legend Les Dawson. This statue took 6 months in the making and a year for raising the funds. The tribute to Les, who died in 1993, was made by Graham Ibbeson - who also sculpted Eric Morecambe. The statue stands in the ornamental gardens next to St Annes Pier in Lytham St Annes.
