Padstow is home to Rick Stein, who has inspired a number of high quality restaurants across the district. Take time to call in at local inns for a pint and a pasty, or treat yourself to a mouthwatering clotted cream tea. Farmers’ markets offer a range of wholesome produce – Cornish yarg cheese, venison, hams and other locally raised meat, organic vegetables, fruit, jam and chutney.

Recreation & Sport

North Cornwall offers a range of adventure and leisure activities including surfing, windsurfing, water-skiing and parascending. There's great golf at Trevose, Bude, Bowood, Lanhydrock, Roserrow and St Kew. If you’re an angler there’s rock, beach, sea, river and lake, coarse and fly-fishing.

Getting There

Road

From the M5 west at Exeter take the A30 into Cornwall. Alternatively, turn off the M5 at junction 27 and enter North Cornwall via the A39 Atlantic Highway.

Rail

Principal Station - Bodmin Parkway. Bus links from Exeter and Plymouth Station serve Bude, Crackington Haven and Boscastle.

Sea

Plymouth Ferryport - 40 miles to the east.
