Destination

Somewhere hidden in the stunning landscape of North Cornwall is the perfect place for an unforgettable Cornish holiday. Sixty miles of dramatic Atlantic coastline, sandy beaches, hidden coves and pretty fishing villages, wooded river valleys, bustling market towns and the beguiling beauty of Bodmin Moor.

What's on Offer

Beach & Amenities

North Cornwall's coastline is dotted with clean sandy beaches such as Polzeath and Summerleaze, Bossiney and Crackington Haven and the wide open bays of Widemouth, Harlyn, Constantine, Trevone, Treyarnon and Portcothan - all with room aplenty to spread your towel out.

Places to Visit

Pencarrow House, Prideaux Place, Lanhydrock House, Tintagel & Launceston Castles, Bodmin and Wenford Railway, Launceston Steam Railway, Bodmin Shire Hall, Carnglaze Caverns, Tamar Otter Sanctuary, National Lobster Hatchery, Crealy Adventure Park and Tamar Lakes.

Entertainment

Experience Shakespeare in the gardens at Pencarrow, or the poetry of John Betjeman recited high on Brae Hill. New Orleans comes to Bude in August for the annual Jazz Festival. There's Music in the Park at Lanhydrock, Pencarrow, Prideaux Place and Sterts Arts Centre and the St Endellion Music Festival takes place in the spring and summer.

Shopping

North Cornwall specialises in traditional towns with a selection of local shops selling high quality goods through a variety of boutiques, galleries, crafts and markets, which offer good service and a friendly welcome.

Eating Out

Padstow is home to Rick Stein, who has inspired a number of high quality restaurants across the district. Take time to call in at local inns for a pint and a pasty, or treat yourself to a mouthwatering clotted cream tea. Farmers’ markets offer a range of wholesome produce – Cornish yarg cheese, venison, hams and other locally raised meat, organic vegetables, fruit, jam and chutney.

Recreation & Sport

North Cornwall offers a range of adventure and leisure activities including surfing, windsurfing, water-skiing and parascending. There's great golf at Trevose, Bude, Bowood, Lanhydrock, Roserrow and St Kew. If you’re an angler there’s rock, beach, sea, river and lake, coarse and fly-fishing.

Holiday & Activity Centres

Make tracks for one of North Cornwall’s many leisure centres, where you can have a ball with indoor tennis, bowls and squash, fit in a swim, sauna, gym or jacuzzi.
