Destination

Swansea Bay is one of the fastest growing destinations in the UK. Swansea, Wales' vibrant "Waterfront City", is linked to the village of Mumbles by a picturesque sandy bay. The tiny seaside resort is known as the "Gateway to Gower", the UK’s first designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

What's on Offer

Beach & Amenities

With 34 miles of coastline we have a choice of accessible family beaches with golden sand and facilities such as car parks, toilets and shops; and secluded coves in which to relax.

Places to Visit

Attractions include museums, galleries, indoor and outdoor children’s activities and award winning parks and gardens. Heritage hunters will enjoy our Norman castles, Tudor mansion and Victorian Pier. Don't miss Swansea's new leisure complex, the LC, complete with water park, spa and BoardRider, the UK's first standing surf machine! Located directly opposite another one of Swansea's star attractions, the National Waterfront Museum.

Entertainment

A diversity of entertainment includes theatres, casinos, nightclubs and cinemas. The Café Quarter is on Wind Street in the City Centre, and the seaside resort of Mumbles with its speciality shops, pubs and restaurants, is popular during the evenings.

Shopping

Shops in the City range from famous names to boutiques selling everything from lovespoons to antiques. The traditional indoor market is Wales’ largest - try our local delicacies of fresh cockles and laverbread (seaweed)!
