Wyre can be found nestled in the north west of England, in the Red Rose County of Lancashire.

Eleven miles of striking coastline, with contrasting rugged wildness and soft, sandy beaches - Wyre boasts of its rich maritime history and the renaissance of its seaside resorts, which nestle upon the imposing expanse of Morecambe Bay.

At Fleetwood, enjoy regular live entertainment at the newly refurbished art deco Marine Hall Waterfront Venue or stroll along the elegant Esplanade.

Cleveleys boasts great shopping and an award winning promenade having recently enjoyed a multi-million pound restoration and renovation project.

Fleetwood has an excellent Museum, Farmer Parr’s Animal World which houses the Country Life Heritage Museum, Marine Hall, Freeport and the Market.
Visit Marsh Mill Windmill and the Wyre Estuary Country Park in Thornton, the Forest of Bowland, Lancaster Canal, or explore Wyre’s lovely villages to discover our breathtaking landscapes.

Shopping

Fleetwood's traditional market has over 250 stalls, and the Freeport shopping and Leisure Village Complex is close by.
Cleveleys has busy markets and a bustling high street. There is also a craft village at Marsh Mill, Thornton. There are lovely shops and local food outlets in Poulton, Garstang and many of Wyre’s villages.

Eating Out

Lancashire harvests some of the finest food from both land and sea and we are proud of the wealth of provisions, which can be found in the wonderful restaurants and cafes in the area. There are hundreds of places to choose from to dine out where a complementary friendly Lancashire welcome awaits you.

Recreation & Sport

Fleetwood has a seafront Leisure Centre, crown green bowling, pitch and putt and crazy golf at the Marine Gardens and an 18-hole golf course. Thornton and Poulton Sports Centres have a wide range of fitness activities available, as does Garstang where there is also a swimming pool.

There are airports at Blackpool and Manchester.
