Destination

Whitley Bay and Tynemouth are 8 miles east of the famous city of Newcastle upon Tyne. Also here are Cullercoats, North Shields and Wallsend - at the end of Hadrian's Wall.

Whitley Bay has a great beach, superb range of accommodation, excellent theatre entertainment and lively nights out courtesy of a wealth of bars and clubs.

There is exclusive shopping alongside a majestic Benedictine Priory in the Victorian village of Tynemouth. The award-winning Longsands beach is nearby.

North Shields has an array of real ale pubs and a growing reputation for staging popular events like the Victorian Christmas Market. Visit the Fish Quay for great fish and chips.

Wallsend is the eastern gateway to the World Heritage Site of Hadrian's Wall, and Segedunum - a major visitor attraction - can be found here.
