Shopping

Worthing has a thriving and busy town centre. Most of the area is pedestrianised, enabling visitors to shop in comfort. Farmers' and general markets are held regularly in the town centre whilst Continental, French and Indoor Markets visit during the year. Worthing’s famously sunny and warm climate has encouraged a large number of pavement cafes, bars and restaurants. A free shopping guide is available from the TIC.

Worthing and the surrounding area boasts Aquarena Swimming Pool complex, 2 gyms and 2 leisure centres as well as cycle clubs, sailing, boating, fishing, tennis courts, bowling greens, AMF Tenpin Bowling Alley, children’s indoor and outdoor playground areas, Activities Centre, shooting, paddling pool and golf courses on the Downs. Brooklands Pleasure Park with golf, pitch & putt, miniature railway, boating lake, pony rides, play area, mini-moto club and Go-Karts.

Road

From the West - A27 or A259. From the East - A27 or A259. From the North - M25 then A24 or M23 then A27.

Rail

Frequent trains direct from London Victoria - approximately 1 hour 15 mins.

Sea

Over 15 cross-channel sea routes available from Newhaven & Portsmouth (the nearest ports within 1 hour's drive)

Air
